Today, we’re thrilled to present the "Vibrant Bubble Tray," a creative exploration into textures and effects using bubble wrap and resin.
Materials Used:
- Round 18cm trinket silicone mould
- Haksons Ultra Clear Resin
- Bubble Wrap: For creating unique textural effects in the resin
- Haksons Pearl Pigments (Posh Red, Haldi Yellow, Azure Blue, Special Blue & Special Gold)
- Haksons Ultra Clear Resin mixed with Steel Grey: For the final layer
Step-by-Step Process:
- Initial Setup: We started by pouring Haksons Ultra Clear Resin into the round silicone mould.
- Applying Bubble Wrap: Immediately after pouring, we placed a sheet of bubble wrap on the wet resin to imprint the bubble pattern effectively.
- Curing the First Layer: Once the resin with the bubble wrap imprint cured, we removed the bubble wrap, leaving a textured pattern on the surface of the resin.
- Adding Colour: We then brushed various shades of Haksons Pearl Pigments onto the textured surface to highlight the patterns.
- Final Pour: To seal in the pigments and add depth, we mixed more Haksons Ultra Clear Resin with Steel Grey and poured it over the coloured, textured base, completing the tray.
The "Vibrant Bubble Tray" showcases the possibility of using everyday materials to create stunning, functional art pieces. This project not only highlights the versatility of resin in artistic applications but also the creative use of materials to achieve extraordinary effects.
