What is Jesmonite®?

Jesmonite® is a water-based composite material used to cast decorative objects, homeware, art and architectural finishes. AC100 is the everyday creative system we recommend most beginners start with.

What is the difference between Jesmonite® AC100 and AC730?

AC100 is our starting point for smooth, detailed and colourful creative casting. AC730 is a more specialised concrete-based system for a stone-like, architectural character.

What is the Jesmonite® AC100 mixing ratio?

Jesmonite® AC100 is mixed at 2.5 parts base powder to 1 part liquid by weight. Follow the current product instructions when measuring and mixing.

Does Jesmonite® need to be sealed?

Many finished Jesmonite® pieces benefit from a suitable sealer, especially when you want better surface protection. Choose the sealer for the intended use and finish.

Can beginners use Jesmonite®?

Yes. For a first creative project, AC100 or an AC100 starter kit is the simplest place to begin.
