Welcome to Day 20 of our 100 Days 100 Designs challenge! Today, we’re excited to share our latest creation – the “Terrazzo Candle Bean Holder,” featuring a beautiful blend of blue Jesmonite and white terrazzo chips, with a unique touch of candle beans.
Materials Used:
1. 4-slot tea-light holder mould from @nicolemould
2. Jesmonite AC100
3. Blue pigment
4. White terrazzo chips
5. Haksons Acrylic Sealer
6. Haksons Candle Beans (wax pearls)
7. Candle wicks
Step-by-Step Process:
1. Mixing the Jesmonite:
We started by mixing Jesmonite AC100 with blue pigment. Once the pigment was fully integrated, we slowly mixed in white terrazzo chips to avoid breaking them into smaller pieces.
2. Pouring into the Mould:
After thoroughly mixing, we poured the Jesmonite mixture into the 4-slot tea-light holder mould and allowed it to cure.
3. Sealing:
Once cured, we sealed the tea-light holder with Haksons Acrylic Sealer to enhance its durability and finish.
4. Adding Candle Beans:
We filled each slot of the tea-light holder with Haksons Candle Beans, which are wax pearls that do not need to be melted.
5. Placing the Wicks:
We cut the candle wicks to the appropriate size and placed them into the candle beans in each slot.
6. Lighting Up:
Finally, we lit the tea-lights, revealing a beautiful and functional Terrazzo Candle Bean Holder.
