Welcome to Day 19 of our 100 Days 100 Designs challenge! Today, we’re excited to share our latest creation – the “Emerald Gold Deco Arch,” featuring a luxurious combination of gold shimmer resin and dark green Jesmonite.
Materials Used:
1. Deco arch mould
2. Haksons Prime Cast Resin (3:1)
3. Gold shimmer
4. Jesmonite AC100
5. Jesmonite Green pigment
6. Jesmonite Black pigment
7. Haksons Beeswax Sealant
Step-by-Step Process:
1. Preparing the Resin:
We started by mixing Haksons Prime Cast Resin (3:1) with gold shimmer. Carefully, we poured the mixture into the raised sections of the deco arch mould and allowed it to cure.
2. Mixing the Jesmonite:
After the resin cured, we mixed Jesmonite AC100 with green pigment and a drop of black pigment to achieve a rich, dark bottle green colour.
3. Pouring the Jesmonite:
We then poured the bottle green Jesmonite mixture into the mould, ensuring it filled all sections evenly.
4. Demoulding and Sealing:
Once the Jesmonite set, we demoulded the deco arch and sealed it with Haksons Beeswax to enhance its finish and durability.
