#64: Mehendi Imprint Coaster MoUld

Welcome to Day 64 of our 100 Days 100 Designs challenge! Today, we’re excited to share our intricate creation – the "Mehendi Imprint Coaster Mold." This design showcases the beauty of traditional Mehendi patterns transformed into a functional coaster mold.

Materials Used:

1. Pre-made coaster with raised edges

2. Two-part clay system

3. Mehendi design stamp

4. Candy stick

5. Neutral silicone for sealing

6. Haksons Easy Mould Silicone

7. Haksons Pearl Pigment

8. Jesmonite AC100

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Creating the Master Coaster:

We began by placing a two-part clay system inside a pre-made coaster with raised edges. We carefully flattened the clay to create a smooth surface.

2. Imprinting the Design:

Next, we used a Mehendi design stamp to create an intricate pattern on the clay. This step required precision to ensure the design was well-defined and detailed.

3. Preparing for the Mold:

Once the clay had cured, we created a border around the coaster using a candy stick and sealed it with neutral silicone to prevent any leaks. The prepared coaster, now referred to as the "master," was ready for the next step.

4. Pouring the Silicone:

We brushed the first layer of Haksons Easy Mould Silicone over the master to ensure all details were captured. Then, we poured the remaining silicone over the master, adding a touch of Haksons Pearl Pigment to the liquid silicone for a unique effect.

5. Testing the Mold:

After the silicone had fully cured, we demoulded the new Mehendi Imprint Coaster Mold and tested it by pouring Jesmonite AC100 into the mold. The final result was a beautifully detailed coaster, showcasing the intricate Mehendi pattern.

The "Mehendi Imprint Coaster Mold" is a perfect blend of traditional design and modern crafting techniques, making it a unique addition to our collection.
