Welcome to Day 27 of our 100 Days 100 Designs challenge! Today, we’re excited to share our latest creation – “Paper in Jesmonite,” featuring intricate designs using Jesmonite and patterned papers.
Materials Used:
1. Four 4-inch round trinket moulds
2. Patterned papers
3. Jesmonite
4. Haksons Beeswax
Step-by-Step Process:
1. Preparing the Papers:
We started by cutting four different papers with unique patterns and textures to fit the size of the moulds.
2. Placing the Papers:
We placed the papers backwards in the moulds so that after de-moulding, they would face the correct way.
3. Mixing and Pouring the Jesmonite:
We mixed Jesmonite to match the color of the papers as closely as possible, then carefully poured the Jesmonite over the papers, ensuring that no Jesmonite went below the papers.
4. De-moulding and Sealing:
After the Jesmonite cured, we de-moulded the trinkets and sealed them with Haksons Beeswax.
